There are several ways to check in for your flight, for example via our website or mobile app. Save time at the airport by using one of these quick and easy options.
How do I check in online?
You can check in online from 24 hours in advance up until 1 hour before departure. You will be able to check in all passengers included in the booking at the same time, select or change your seat and add a frequent flyer number.
After completing your check-in, you will receive a mobile boarding pass or a boarding pass via e-mail. You can send them to the other passengers travelling with you, directly to their inbox or their smartphone.
Can I check in via the mobile app?
If you want to check in via the Brussels Airlines app, you can do so from 24 hours in advance up until 1 hour before departure. Once your boarding pass has been created, you can access it offline.
If your departure airport is not equipped with a mobile boarding pass scanning system, you'll need to go to the check-in counter or the baggage drop-off point where your boarding pass will be printed for you.
With automated check-in, you no longer have to think about checking in for your flight. We take care of the check-in process and will send you your mobile boarding pass 24 hours before departure.
You can choose to receive your boarding pass by email (printable PDF file or mobile boarding pass) or by SMS (with a link to a mobile boarding pass).

Good to know
If you’re returning within 24 hours, you can check in for your return flight at the same time.
Check-in desks You can simply hand over your baggage to our staff at a check-in counter. They will prepare the baggage tag and send it to the airport’s baggage handlers.
Baggage drop-off units If you’re already checked in and simply need to drop off baggage, you can use our self-service baggage drop-off units. Simply scan your boarding pass and follow the instructions. It should only take a few minutes. (Available at London Heathrow, Geneva and Copenhagen.)
Even if you're travelling with hand baggage only, you still need to check in for your flight.
If you've checked in online, you can directly proceed to your departure gate*. Make sure that your baggage is within the size and weight limits, doesn't contain any dangerous goods and complies with regulations regarding gels and liquids.
* When flying out of Africa, you must pass by the check-in desk to pick up your final boarding pass.
If you’re travelling with an airline from the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Swiss or Austrian Airlines), you will be automatically redirected to their online check-in applications. If you are travelling with another airline, you must check in via its own website or app. You won’t be able to check in via Brussels Airlines for that specific flight. Should you have an onward connection with Brussels Airlines, the first airline will provide you with your boarding pass for the onward Brussels Airlines flight.
