The public bus network is inexpensive and can get you to most of the resorts on the island, although you may have to change in one of the bigger places if you’re staying somewhere remote. Taxis are available and are metered.
- Currency: Euro. Many places will accept credit cards, but having some cash on you is always a good idea for smaller places.

What to eat in Ibiza
- Seafood – Ibiza has some incredible seafood restaurants, and dishes like paella or fideua, a kind of paella made with pasta, are particularly good.
- Menu del día – As lunch is usually the biggest meal in Spain, a menu del día is a popular choice for many locals. Usually a three-course meal chosen from a set menu, with bread and a drink included, you can find them as cheap as €10 depending on the resort and restaurant. This is a great way to try traditional and typical cuisine.
- Calamares rellenos de sobrasada – two of the island’s specialities, combined. Calamares, or squid, stuffed with a spiced, cured sausage, sobrasada. A delicious if indulgent snack.
