Is your flight cancelled, have you been rebooked on an alternative flight that doesn't fit into your plans or would you rather fly on other dates? Know that many of our fares can be rebooked so that you can travel in all ease and comfort.
My flight has been cancelled, what should I do?
Brussels Airlines will either proactively rebook you free of charge on an alternative flight to the same destination and in the same travel class or inform you of the cancellation and ask you to contact the Service Centre for an alternative flight booking.
If we are not able to proactively rebook your flight or your alternative flight does not fit into your plans, you can choose an alternative flight yourself.
If your flight has been cancelled within two days before departure and an alternative is not possible on the same day, Brussels Airlines will provide you with overnight accommodation or pay a share of the costs.
The rebooking must be made before the originally planned travel date and within 12 months from the purchase date of your original ticket.
If you booked via an (online) travel agency, contact them directly. They will take care of your rebooking.
If your flight got cancelled by Brussels Airlines and you do not wish to travel anymore, you can request a refund online or via your travel agency. The unused fare value, taxes and charges will be refunded accordingly.
In case you submitted your refund by phone or e-mail, there is no need to request the refund again, as this may lead to a delay in processing your request.
My flight has not been cancelled, but I want to change my travel dates
Change your flight before the originally planned travel date.
Subject to the fare conditions of your ticket, a rebooking fee might apply.
If your alternative flight is more expensive, an additional payment may be required.
Go to My Booking to change your travel dates online. You can also use this service if you booked via an (online) travel agency.
Good to know
The severe and long-lasting impact of the Covid-19 pandemic weighs heavily on the entire travel industry. Together we are going through a very difficult time, which involves exceptional circumstances and exceptional solutions. One of these exceptions is that airlines are allowed by law to exchange the value of a flight ticket in a voucher instead of a reimbursement in cash. Thanks to this system, passengers are certain not to lose their money and retain the right to rebook their flight at a later stage.
If your flight was affected by the coronavirus and you requested a FlightVoucher, this doesn't deny you any right to a refund of your ticket. If you have not been able or you do not wish to redeem your FlightVoucher, you are free to request a refund of your ticket.
In case you have booked directly at Brussels Airlines, you can request your refund here. If you have booked via a travel agency, you have to contact your agent for your rebooking or for your refund. In case you do not receive a response in a timely manner or it seems necessary for other reasons, please contact us for further processing.
