There are several ways to check in for your flight, for example via our website or mobile app. Save time at the airport by using one of these quick and easy options.
How do I check in online?
You can check in online from 24 hours in advance. In case you would also like to check in baggage or still need to have your travel documents verified, please observe the check-in deadlines at the airport.
After completing your check-in, you will receive a mobile boarding pass or a boarding pass via e-mail. You can send them to the other passengers travelling with you, directly to their inbox or their smartphone.
Please note: Even if you’re travelling with carry-on baggage only, you still need to check in for your flight. When flying out of Africa, you must pass by the check-in desk at the airport to pick up your final boarding pass.
Can I check in via the mobile app?
With the Brussels Airlines app, check-in is seamless and relaxed. You can check in from 24 hours before departure – and after you have checked in, your boarding pass is saved automatically in the app. So you always have it to hand.
If your departure airport is not equipped with a mobile boarding pass scanning system, you'll need to go to the check-in counter or the baggage drop-off point where your boarding pass will be printed for you. This usually applies to flights from Africa.
Good to know
If you’re returning within 24 hours, you can check in for your return flight at the same time.
If you’re travelling with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS, you will be able to check in via Brussels Airlines. If you are flying with another airline, you will not be able to check in via Brussels Airlines. If you have a connecting flight with Brussels Airlines, please use the check-in options of the airline you are flying with first on your journey. You will then usually also receive the boarding pass for your connecting flightwith Brussels Airlines.
