Disguised as the famous shark submarine from the Tintin album “Red Rackham’s Treasure”, our Airbus A320, baptized as “Rackham”, will cleave the air in search of new adventures.
Never before has the legacy of Tintin’s creator Hergé been translated onto the fuselage of an aircraft. This unique project was made possible thanks to a co-operation between Brussels Airlines and Moulinsart, the company that protects and promotes the work of Hergé.
Tintin is a world famous Brussels-born character and a real ambassador of our home, Belgium. Brussels Airlines has a long tradition of representing the best of Belgium to the world and Tintin is the ideal travel partner to help us do this: adventurous, ambitious, friendly and naturally curious.
Not only the outside of the aircraft is painted in this spectacular Tintin livery. In addition, the atmosphere continues on the inside of the plane, where the rear cabin walls have also been reworked and bear images of Tintin and Captain Haddock from the same comic album.
What’s more, the album “Red Rackham's Treasure” is available for reading on board in Dutch, French and English language, allowing our guests – young and old – to dive into this adventure of Tintin and Snowy.
Our goal is to bring people together and to make travelling a pleasure. Together, we look forward to welcoming you onboard our Rackham aircraft.
