Good to know
Even if you’re travelling with carry-on baggage only, you still need to check in for your flight. If you’ve checked in online, you can directly proceed to your departure gate.
Please note: When flying out of Africa, you must pass by the check-in desk at the airport to pick up your final boarding pass.
On flights within Europe, you can check-in your hand baggage for free and enjoy the following benefits:
No liquid restrictions
Less weight to carry around at the airport
Save time at security control
A quicker boarding process
No need to find a spot for your baggage on board
Liquids and gels
You may bring max. 1 litre of liquids and gels with you:
In bottles of max. 100ml each. The amount printed on the bottle is what counts (e.g. a bottle of 200ml that is only half full is not allowed)
In a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag (e.g. a Ziploc bag)
Duty-Free shopping (after security checkpoints) is exempt from this restriction, as long as the products stay in their specially sealed Tax-Free shopping bag.

For connecting flights or flights with a partner airline, the rules of the operating airline apply. It means that the dimensions and weight of carry-on baggage can vary depending on the flight you’re taking. Therefore, we advise you to check the different rules before your flight(s) to avoid having to pay a fee if your carry-on baggage does not comply with the regulations of the operating airline.
