In addition to your carry-on baggage, you can bring one personal accessory with you.
For example:
1 handbag, or
1 briefcase, or
1 laptop bag, or
1 camera bag, or
1 umbrella
Personal items should not exceed 40 x 30 x 10 cm and must be placed underneath the seat in front of you. If you are seated in the emergency exit row, it must be stowed away in the overhead bin for safety reasons.
We recommend keeping valuable items (travel documents, keys, medication, etc.) in your personal accessory in case your hand baggage needs to be stored in the hold.

What if I exceed the limits for carry-on baggage?
Your carry-on baggage will be checked at the check-in desk or at the gate. A fee will be charged if your baggage exceeds the size and/or weight limits. If you can’t pay the fee, you won’t be allowed to board your flight.
Good to know
On flights within Europe, you can check-in your hand baggage for free and enjoy the following benefits:
No liquid restrictions
Less weight to carry around at the airport
Save time at security control
A quicker boarding process
No need to find a spot for your baggage on board
Liquids and gels
You may bring max. 1 litre of liquids and gels with you:
In bottles of max. 100ml each. The amount printed on the bottle is what counts (e.g. a bottle of 200ml that is only half full is not allowed)
In a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag (e.g. a Ziploc bag)
Duty-Free shopping (after security checkpoints) is exempt from this restriction, as long as the products stay in their specially sealed Tax-Free shopping bag.
Powders
For flights to the United States and Togo, there are limits on powder products:
Powder products in hand baggage may not exceed 350ml (12oz.)
Exceptions are medication, baby formula, tax-free shopping, and human remains.
Other restricted or forbidden objects
In general, any type of item that can be used as a weapon or that may endanger the safety of other passengers is not allowed in your hand baggage.
There may be limited storage space in the cabin (e.g. small aircraft, full flight, etc.). In this case, we will stow your carry-on baggage in the hold for free. Upon arrival, you can pick it up on the baggage belt.
Children (aged 2-11) have the same hand baggage allowance as adults, depending on the travel class. Infants (aged 0-23 months) not occupying a seat are not entitled to free hand baggage allowance. However, on top your own carry-on baggage, you may bring your infant’s food for consumption on board.
For connecting flights or flights with a partner airline, the rules of the operating airline apply. It means that the dimensions and weight of carry-on baggage can vary depending on the flight you’re taking. Therefore, we advise you to check the different rules before your flight(s) to avoid having to pay a fee if your carry-on baggage does not comply with the regulations of the operating airline.
