Travelling with little ones often requires additional equipment to make the journey as smooth as possible. Whether you need equipment at the airport or on board, you’ll always be in good hands.
Buggies or pushchairs
The transportation of foldable buggies and pushchairs is free. All types of strollers (including baby backpacks) must be labelled at check-in. They may be used up to the aircraft door, but will be folded and stored in the hold during the flight. Upon arrival at your final destination, the strollers will be delivered to you at the aircraft door.*
You may bring ultra-compact buggies (e.g. Pockit) on board as part of your free hand baggage allowance. The buggies must be collapsed and folded so that they are no longer recognisable as a pushchair from the gate until after you have left the aircraft.
* Delivered at the baggage belt: Alicante, Almeria, Bari, Berlin, Catania, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, London Heathrow, Lyon, Manchester, Marseille, Naples, Nice, Olbia, Palermo, Rome, Toulouse and Valencia.
Baby bassinets
Baby bassinets are available on board our long-haul flights (Airbus a330) and are provided in the front row seats only. Although the bassinet itself is free of charge, you must book the bassinet in advance via our Service Centre. A seat reservation fee will be charged, as this service is only available if a seat in the first row is reserved. Hence, it will also allow you to have more legroom for an even more comfortable flight.
Features of the bassinet:
Length: 70 cm/27.5 inches
Width: 30 cm/11 inches
Equipped with a sheet and a blanket
For babies up to 10kg

Inflight bed
If you booked a seat for your child, you may bring an inflight bed/leg rest extension (e.g. BedBox, Fly Tot, 1st Class Kid Travel Pillow, Plane Pal). A device of this type is allowed, as long as it is not attached directly to the seat. It may not be used during take-off, taxiing or landing and it may not hinder other passengers.
Inflight beds that can only be attached to the seat (e.g. Fly LegsUp or FlyeBaby) are not permitted.
Child seats
If you’ve booked a seat for your child, you can bring your own child seat on board if:
you are using an approved child restraint device
you pass by our check-in counters to receive approval
the seat is in perfect working order
you are familiar with its use in an aircraft
you attach the device to the airplane seat yourself
you don’t sit in the emergency exit row or immediately in front of or behind the exit row.
you agree to check-in the child seat as checked baggage if it doesn't meet the necessary requirements
Contact our Service Centre for more information or to make sure that your own child seat will be accepted on board.
