Emergency exit seats
If you’re planning to select a seat in the exit row, please take into account the following requirements.
Passengers sitting in an exit row must:
- be over the age of 16
- be fit and strong
- be able to understand instructions given in English, Dutch or French
- be willing and able to assist in the unlikely event of an evacuation of the aircraft during an emergency
- be capable of performing the required tasks without assistance of a companion, parent or other relatives
- not have a condition or responsibility that might prevent them from performing these functions or cause them to suffer bodily harm while performing these functions
- not be pregnant
- not be travelling with someone who needs their assistance in an emergency
- not be travelling with a baby
- not be travelling with a pet in the cabin
Our airport staff/cabin crew will verify that you meet the emergency exit row seating requirements and can give you another seat if you don’t meet the necessary requirements.
Any carry-on baggage must be stowed in the overhead lockers because no objects can be on or under the seats of an emergency exit row.
