Being an airline is fantastic, we connect people, cultures, and businesses from all over the world. But it comes with a huge responsibility. It's our duty to work on our environmental footprint by reducing the impact of our flight operations on the environment. A responsibility we do not take lightly.
As part of our efforts to reduce carbon emissions, Brussels Airlines, together with the Lufthansa Group, is focusing on accelerating the modernization of our fleet, the continuous optimization of our flight operations, the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels and innovative offers for our customers.
However, our efforts don’t stop there as we’ve set ambitious climate protection goals. We aim to halve our net carbon emissions by 2030, compared to 2019, and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
But why stop at responsible flying? We want to broaden our scope and fly together respectfully. Being responsible towards the society in which we operate and take the best possible care of our own people and our guests. That’s why we have our Respectful Flying Charter. It comprises 9 important principles. Together, they prove that you’re in good company.
