Old Fort York, the magnificent castle of Casa Loma, the Black Creek Pioneer Village open-air museum and the Toronto Islands are only a few of Toronto’s many tourist attractions.
Toronto, on Lake Ontario, is the 5th largest city in North America and the largest and liveliest city in Canada. With its 4.7 million inhabitants, the city and its surroundings are best known for the automobile industry (Ford and DaimlerChrysler) and for developments in space travel, in electronics and in the biomedical industry.
Toronto is a real tourist attraction. Its most important attractions include the St. Lawrence market in the old historic centre of the city. Other attractions include the CN Tower (the world’s tallest tower), Toronto zoo and Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, the largest amusement park in Canada.
