San Antonio has that typical Texan feel, which can make for a wonderful holiday experience.
The history of San Antonio as a Spanish outpost is still vibrant in the city. Be sure to visit La Villita, one of the original Spanish settlements, the San Fernando Cathedral and the Alamo. Just northeast of the city lies Fort Sam Houston, which is also definitely worth seeing.
Other tourist attractions include the San Antonio Children’s Museum, the Tower of the Americas, with its fantastic view of the city, and the two amusement parks for which the city is famous: Sea World San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. San Antonio boasts a beautiful climate with some 300 days of sunshine per year, making it the perfect place for water sports such as canoeing and rafting.
